More Wale

If you aren't the biggest Wale fan, I apologize, because I have been puttin up a lot of Wale posts in the past month. But really, you should thank me, because maybe my favoritism towards Mr. Folarin will turn you into a huge Wale fan, which is what everybody should be. The material we have today is more from Back to the Feature and Pt. 2 of Zune's tour video about Wale. The first video is about a song entitled "Family Affair." From seeing Wale's twitter, you could really tell this was a very deep and important record for him. The song comes from three angles: A prostitute, A Pimp, and the prostitutes child. The song is sorta like a conversation about the views these three people have and the psychological effects and influences that prostitution creates. These kinds of tracks are exactly why I love Wale. He discusses a taboo topic of the dysfunctional relationships between these three characters and provokes thought, all while maintaining the impeccable word play and metaphors he is known for. He discusses this Best Kept Secret produced track with Rik Cordero (who is making the video for it) in the first video. Download at the bottom of the post.
